Lily (Fine Line) ♥ 0

fine-line

"Lily" is an original design drawn in a fine line hand, and it knows exactly what it is about.

What you are buying is the working pair: full-color finished art plus the clean linework stencil your artist will transfer to skin. The preview here is linework only by design — the color version is delivered privately after purchase. Like it but need it changed — colors swapped, an element added, sized for a specific spot? That is what the custom-variation order is for: the same drawing, reworked by an artist around your notes.

The whole piece is carried by single-weight line — no heavy outline to hide behind — so every curve has to be right before the needle touches skin. Plan placement with the line weight in mind: skin that moves and stretches less — forearm, calf, shoulder blade — keeps delicate lines crisp longest, and going a touch larger than you first pictured almost always pays off.

Tattooing notes: Fine Line

Placement: Fine line loves protected skin — inner forearm, wrist, ankle, collarbone, ribs. Fingers, palms and feet renew too fast and blur delicate lines.

Size: Small but not microscopic: one to four inches, with space between elements. Tiny letters and crowded detail close up as lines settle with age.

How it ages: The most delicate style as it ages: hairlines soften and can fade unevenly over five to ten years. Beautiful — with a touch-up in its future.

Read the full Fine Line style guide — how the style is drawn, where it sits best, and what to check before you book.
