Flame ♥ 0

ascii artrestored

"Flame" — ASCII art work — is built the way good tattoo art is built: a strong focal subject, deliberate line, and nothing in the composition that does not earn its place.

It is an unusual piece to tattoo and a striking one — the closer you look, the more it dissolves back into type. Pattern work reads best where the body offers a flat, centered canvas — sternum, spine, forearm, calf or chest — and a good artist will stencil it on and mirror-check the symmetry against your body before inking.

It ships as linework only, which is a feature, not a shortage: the stencil is the finished drawing, and your artist can take it in black, in black and grey, or into full color — three different tattoos waiting inside the same clean lines. And if it is almost right — a name worked in, different flowers, the composition flipped to fit the other arm — order it as a custom variation and an artist will redraw it to your notes.
