The Wolf Who Guarded the Storybook Door ♥ 0

Fairy Tale & Storybook > The Wolf Who Guarded the Storybook Door

"The Wolf Who Guarded the Storybook Door" is an original design drawn in a American traditional hand, and it knows exactly what it is about. Animals carry their meaning without a word of lettering — posture, eye and silhouette do all the talking, which is why the drawing spends its effort there. It sits in the Fairy Tale & Storybook > The Wolf Who Guarded the Storybook Door shelf of the gallery, alongside the rest of the studio's original catalog.

Traditional drawing rules apply: a bold outline you can read at arm's length, a limited palette laid in flat and solid, and shading kept simple and strong. This is work built to be read from across the room, and it holds that read for decades — upper arm, thigh and calf are the classic homes for it, and it wraps a limb beautifully.

What you are buying is the working pair: full-color finished art plus the clean linework stencil your artist will transfer to skin. The preview here is linework only by design — the color version is delivered privately after purchase. And if it is almost right — a name worked in, different flowers, the composition flipped to fit the other arm — order it as a custom variation and an artist will redraw it to your notes.
