Arctic Fox ♥ 1

animalsneo-japanese

Neo-Japanese takes the classic Japanese toolkit — bold contour, flat color fields, wind and water moving behind the subject — and loosens it with modern line weight and color choices. This is work built to be read from across the room, and it holds that read for decades — upper arm, thigh and calf are the classic homes for it, and it wraps a limb beautifully.

Start with the drawing itself: "Arctic Fox", worked in neo-Japanese, composed around one clear focal point that reads the moment you see it. Creature pieces live or die on the anatomy of the focal animal, and this one is drawn to be read at a glance: strong silhouette first, detail second. It was drawn by MK Test Customer, one of the independent artists selling original work through Tattoo Art Customs.

What you are buying is the working pair: full-color finished art plus the clean linework stencil your artist will transfer to skin. The preview here is linework only by design — the color version is delivered privately after purchase. And if it is almost right — a name worked in, different flowers, the composition flipped to fit the other arm — order it as a custom variation and an artist will redraw it to your notes.
